Welcome! I write short fiction, which has been published in anthologies such as Out There, Elsewhere, ImagiNation, Gutter, Markings, New Writing Scotland and The Best Gay Stories. My short stories ‘Outing’, ‘A Change’ and ‘Lucky’ have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4. I am also a freelance journalist and theatre critic for The Times in Scotland. My articles have appeared in the Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, Sunday Herald, Sunday Times, Metro and Big Issue, and I was formerly the assistant editor of The List magazine, Scotland’s arts and events guide. I have read from my work at many festivals and events, including the Edinburgh International Book Festival and Aye Write!

I have just listened, enthralled, to ‘Outing’ on Radio 4. Congratulations on a delightful, moving and beautifully written story. A search for a collection of Allan Radcliffe stories unfortunately yielded non (so far) – though this is surely to come. Thanks to Kindle, I can re-read ‘Outing’ with pleasure in ‘Out There: An Anthology of Scottish LGBT Writing’. Fabulous writing Allan Radcliffe – I look forward to much more from you to come.

I caught A Change by chance on R4 a few years ago and loved it – it’s stayed with me all this time. No longer available on Sounds, so it would be great to see an anthology of Allan’s short stories.

Is it possible to get hold of a text of your short story ‘Lucky’ broadcast on From Fact to Fiction?
